Aqaba

So... we decided as an apartment that we wanted to go south to Aqaba this last weekend. There are three couples here so we took a bus down to the four hour ride. This is Josh on the bus. And stayed at the Crystal Hotel for Friday through Sunday. Because women here wear a full head to toe outfit when they swim it was innapproperate for us to go to the public beaches, so we went to a private beach down south in Aqaba. It was great we went snorkeling in the Gulf of Aqaba which is the red sea. And Josh went scuba diving for an hour. He loved it. Although the salt in the water was really not fun but the sun was amazing. It was 95 degrees all day. We loved every minute of it. Something pretty cool was that we were just 10km from the Saudi Arabia border when we were at the private beach we went to. So you could look out and see Egypt on one side, Saudi Arabia on the other, and the tip of Israel on another side, and we were standing in Jordan. It was a pretty cool thing. This is us watching the sunset. We ate amazing sea food while we were there. Honestly, the best I have ever eaten. And we watched the sun set over the mountains. The second night we went to eat seafood and our meals came whole if you know what I mean. We wish we had a picture of it. Ashley had a whole fish head; tail; skin; everything. Same with a shrimp on her plate; head skin; legs; everything. It was crazy!!!
As you can see the hotel was right by the water, there are 'farms' that were between us and the sea they are these tiny probably four feet by five feet boxes of green herbs. It was a cool thing to see the difference in the farming.
