Mosque March

On this day (maybe Wednesday, but our days are a little confused) we went to Islamic Cairo and toured a whole bunch of Mosques. It was pretty fun to learn about the different mosques and see them, some were absolutely huge. We had to either take off our shoes or wear little booties in each one, and in a few of them it was required for the girls to cover their hair. It was a long day with lots of walking, and at the end we went to Khan Al Khalili, which is a huge market with tons of shops crowded into these little narrow streets. While there ee haggled with a shopkeeper to get Ashley an Egyptian style dress, and then had Shwerma at this little hole in the wall (the meat being cooked in the picture above was for our meal). A Shwerma is basically a meat sandwich.
